Waiting for the Bus／バスを待つ（CEFR B1）

This morning, I had to take the bus to go to work. I walked to the bus stop and checked the schedule. The bus was supposed to arrive in ten minutes, so I sat down on the bench and waited. The sun was shining, but the air was cool.

While waiting, I watched cars passing by and listened to the sounds of birds. A few other people were at the bus stop, checking their phones or just looking around. After a while, I saw the bus coming around the corner. I stood up, got my fare ready, and stepped onto the bus. Even though waiting can feel long, it’s a good moment to pause and observe the world around you.
